Getting Lost in The Lost Room
It's been a while since a miniseries captured my attention so completely as has the SciFi Channel mystery The Lost Room. Some sort of cosmic accident — or a very purposeful plan — have rendered a number of ordinary artifacts from on particular room in an old motel into supernatural Objects.
The powers exerted by these Objects vary. The wristwatch does nothing more than cook a hardboiled egg while the ballpoint pen will nuke you like a microwave. The comb can set time back ten seconds; the key allows you to jump to and from the motel room to any place else having a door with a cylinder lock. Using various Objects in concert heightens or alters their individual characteristics.
Competing Cabals strive to gain all the Objects for themselves. Some desire to exert their combined force, others hope to see them all destroyed or banished forever. Into the midst of this mess walks Pittsburgh homicide detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause), who "inherits" the motel key from a dead drug dealer. Before long, others swoop down to remove him of the key. In the process, his daughter is swept into the room and vanishes.
The excellent, eclectic cast, well-paced story, and numerous twist and turns grabbed and kept my attention during Monday's first two hour episode, "The Key and the Clock." If you missed it, SciFi will rerun it tonight at 7 p.m. EST (6 p.m. Central) before part two, "The Comb and the Box," at 9 p.m. This second segment will be reprised twice more tonight and again tomorrow, before the conclusion, "The Eye and the Prime Object."
The cable children of the Peacock Network are really coming through for me. I've already given props to USA Network program Psych (coming back in January) and have enjoyed USA's Monk since it previewed. Now SciFi brings The Lost Room. At least NBC still has the Law & Order franchise (especially Criminal Intent) and my new network fave, Heroes.
Check out the show's page for plenty of extras, including two games based upon collecting the Objects. The prize for one of these games is a five million dollar ($5,000,000!) annuity, paid out over 30 years.

Nice review as the show is. So now watch all episodes of this show. Free download The Lost Room and fully enjoy this. This mini-series is quite original and I found it very entertaining. The idea is pretty wild and far fetched. The production value is good and the atmosphere created is very convincing. The acting is great for a TV production and I wouldn't mind if 'The Lost Room' would be picked up for a full season.
